“Flight Attendant delivers an experience.” – Rolling Stone Magazine
Hailed as a “Sonic unicorn” in Nashville’s thriving music scene, Flight Attendant has built a reputation for delivering infectious power-pop hooks, cinematic soundscapes, and unforgettable live performances. This Nashville-based quintet—Karalyne Winegarner (Lead Vocals, Keys), Vincent Maniscalco (Vocals, Guitar), Nikki Christie (Vocals, Viola), Derek Sprague (Drums), and Peyton Rodeffer (Vocals, Bass)—blends their diverse musical influences into a sound that is as bold as it is distinctive.
The band’s origins were serendipitous. Karalyne, a certified sommelier from Kansas City, met Vinny, an award-winning bartender from Boston, while the two were balancing their love for music and hospitality. They were soon joined by co-worker Nikki from Los Angeles, and later by Derek, also from Boston, and Peyton from Indiana. Together, the group solidified its lineup and embarked on a creative journey that has taken them from intimate stages to sold-out shows and major festivals, including SXSW, Boulevardia, Tomato Arts Fest, and Crossroads Music Fest.
Their sophomore album, Under The Powerlines, produced by Swedish collaborator Anders Fleming, was released on November 15, 2024, to critical acclaim. Praised by Mundane Magazine as “something adjacent to Radiohead’s OK Computer with a twist of modern pop,” the album showcases Flight Attendant’s ability to weave intricate, atmospheric arrangements with undeniable hooks. Featuring standout tracks like “Therapy Couch,” which has gained major radio traction, and fan-favorite singles “Powerlines,” and “1987 Prom Queen,” the album captures the band’s dynamic range and artistic evolution.
Drawing inspiration from artists like Caroline Polachek, Florence + The Machine, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Harry Styles, Flight Attendant crafts music that is as compelling as it is unique.
Glide Magazine praises lead singer Karalyne Winegarner’s commanding presence, likening her to “Freddie Mercury working the crowd in an arena.”
